IRA Land Group is the real estate arm of American Landmark Group LLC.  We are committed to educating people about the alternative investment of Land Banking.  For those who are planning for a successful retirement, we believe our strategy of Buy Low, hold for long-term appreciation and Sell High is the most profitable, safest way to save for our later years.

The principals are firm believers in this formula.  The foundation of Land Banking is based on finding properties in the path of growth of a major population center, the availability of affordable “half-priced” housing, a diverse economy with jobs in different sectors and what we call the “Ten Key Indicators.”  We research the best places to find properties that fit these criteria and offer them to our clients.  This is the way most millionaires have made their money.  We are convinced of the truth of Theodore Roosevelt’s statement:

“Every person who invests in well-selected real estate in a growing section of a prosperous community adopts the surest and safest method of becoming independent, for real estate is the basis of wealth.”    

The founders of American Landmark Group LLC have been involved in real estate in California for almost 30 years.  They have invested in the Land Banking strategy themselves, with demonstrable success.

Betsy Ballenger, the Director of IRA Land Group, has been a licensed real estate agent on both coasts for over 12 years.  Since her move to California from Connecticut in 2004, she has been spreading the word about Land Banking and training other real estate agents on the benefits.  She and her husband have used their retirement funds to purchase real estate for Land Banking, and have also bought additional properties with cash.  She is a believer in John Jacob Astor’s advice, which still holds true today:

“Buy land on the fringe and wait.  Buy land near a growing city!  Buy real estate when other people want to sell.  Hold on to what you buy!”
